Kristen is the Womens Minister at Johnson Ferry in Marietta, GA. For the past several decades Kristen has served the local church in a multitude of capacities. She likes to call this “living the adventure that is life with Jesus.” While she and her husband, Richard, served in Tennessee, Kristen was Communications Director and part of the Sunday teaching team. During their time in Texas, she founded and ran Kristen Carr: Create and Communicate, worked for a year as Abolitionist Community Organizer for The Not For Sale Campaign and served on the teaching team with SAGE Girls Ministry. Prior to all of this, Kristen and her husband met and married while serving on staff at a church in Atlanta, GA. During those early years of ministry, Kristen was invited to begin a Girls Ministry within the current Student Ministry at First Atlanta. This was a brand new concept only a few churches across America were engaging, and resources were nearly nonexistent. Kristen followed the Holy Spirit's prompting to address this void by authoring two discipleship-based Bible studies for teen girls: Undercover Princess, which has been translated and published in Russia and the Ukraine, and the second called Learning to Walk in Glass Slippers. She also had the privilege of writing a chapter on "Mentoring Teen Girls" in the book The Green House Project: Cultivating Students of Influence (Word of Life Fellowship, Inc, 2009).

Kristen has been honored to speak at conferences, camps, retreats, churches, universities and events all over the United States and internationally. Her greatest joy is digging into God’s word, speaking, writing, creating and seeing people come to know how deeply and dearly they are known and loved by Jesus. She and her husband Richard, and their three beautiful daughters are currently living the adventure that is life with Jesus in Marietta, GA.
